Daily Ag Direction 6/13/25
After a very quiet and uneventful June WASDE report yesterday, beans are surging higher in the wake of Israel's strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure. The escalation sent crude sharply higher in the overnight and beans hitched on, with wheat getting caught in the updraft as both Kansas City and Chicago contracts were due for a bounce. Corn is left looking anemic after yesterday's WASDE numbers saw carryout trimmed slightly and a rally of that magnitude in crude would usually bode well for corn. Still waiting on that weather market. The EPA is rolling out some blending mandate plans today that should be supportive to both new crop beans and corn, as early indictions point to 2026 blending targets favoring domestic biofuels over imports.
