Daily Ag Direction 5/21/25

Good Afternoon!

The wheat short-covering rally persists, with modest volume in a choppy overnight session. Buying interest has resurfaced this morning, and Paris wheat has rebounded after an early dip. Chicago and KC wheat have surged approximately 40-45 cents over the past week, reaching levels not seen in a month. If the rally sustains, both markets could break through their long-term downtrend. Winter wheat's Good/Excellent ratings declined by 2% this week to 52%, with Colorado and Texas leading the drop with 10% decreases.

Unseasonably cool temperatures will persist across the Corn Belt and mid-South over the next 7 to 10 days, with highs remaining in the 60s and 70s. Dryness for corn and soybeans eased last week as favorable planting conditions wrapped up, while spring wheat turned wetter. Some showers will continue today and tomorrow in northern and eastern areas.

July  KC Wheat is +3 @ $5.3925

July Corn is +6 @ $4.605

Dec Corn is +6.5 @ $4.55

July Soybeans are +9.25 @ $10.6225

Nov Soybeans are +11.5 @ $10.525
