Daily Ag Direction 4/30/25

Good Morning!

Wheat saw mixed trading overnight ahead of final notice day. The July contract hit a new low on the back of favorable rains across Oklahoma, Texas, and southern Kansas, with more precipitation expected. Meanwhile, reports are beginning to emerge about a developing drought in China that could impact wheat production. Conditions also remain dry across key wheat-growing regions in Russia and the EU. It may also be time to start monitoring Australia, though it's still early in the season.

December corn continues to face heavy pressure as favorable spring weather and strong planting progress weigh on the market. Prices are now down 25 cents from the mid-April highs. While producers have remained patient so far, a further decline could prompt increased selling to mitigate deeper losses.

May KC Wheat is +5.5 @ $5.2075

July  KC Wheat is +9.5 @ $5.405
